Opening speech

The world film industry develops rapidly. Development tendencies tend to vary, film distribution becomes more and more perfect and the competitive struggle for film markets grows day by day.

But nevertheless in a world map of a cinema there is a huge “white stain” — between Moscow, Tokyo, Pusan and Shanghai cinema festivals, and this space have remained free until now in the world of film industry.
Therefore the occurrence of the International Cinema festival “Eurasia” in open spaces of Kazakhstan which was initially reflected as the bridge uniting cinema of Europe and Asia was quite logical.
