Distribution Center

The film service center of the “Kazakhfilm” film studio was created in December, 2010. The program of the Center is to distribute Kazakhstan films on local and the world markets.

The primary film distribution is showing at cinemas and the secondary hire is release of DVDs and TV-distribution. Besides, the department is obligated to participate in working out of creation of the film project: to make the commercial and advertising, to make a film advertising campaign at a stage of manufacture of a picture. Also to work with mass-media, to place external and internal advertising, to make a joint advertising campaign with owners of local cinemas, to conduct work with the Russian and foreign distribution companies, to take part in the film markets. The Center also works on the sale of DVDs, sale of copyrights to TVs and so on.

At the beginning there was a functional task for the Center: to study a condition of cinemas of Kazakhstan, to estimate attendance and to reveal the target audience. There was a group which has concluded distribution contracts with each cinema at all the cities of Kazakhstan in order to distribute films created at “Kazakhfilm” Cinema Studio named after Shaken Aimanov everywhere.

Competently built secondary distribution brings 40-50% of profit.
